Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman has a new report out that has the anti-Trump crowd all excited that alleges President Trump “could do a deal and resign”:

The source, however, is someone who actually didn’t hear the original conversation between Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, and an unnamed friend when this allegation was made. The NYT’s Michael Barbaro called it a “wildly speculative blind quote” from a “rando”:

Worse for Gabriel Sherman is that Axios’ Jonathan Swan, whose reporting on the White House has very accurate, hasn’t “heard a whiff that he’s contemplated resigning”:
