In every hurricane, we wonder if this will be the storm that finally claims a reporter’s life for the irresponsible risks they take while covering the storm.
Well, not this time, but close…
CNN’s Dianne Gallagher just reported that the vehicle she was riding in with her crew “tipped over” and they’re trying to get out as it’s currently “filling with water”:
"The vehicle that we were in…it's tipped over, so we're attempting to get out…we don't want the vehicle to tip ever further and continue filling with water." It sounds like from the clip that everyone is safe, but we’ll update you when we know more.
Update:
We are all safe & ok. The NC National Guard vehicle is still out there.
We cannot thank the NC National Guard & the teens from New Been who rescued us all enough. https://t.co/GFUYPh8JFO

And Gallagher is telling critics that it was the North Carolina National Guard that invited the news crew along and that it was one of their vehicles that tipped:
A news crew was invited to join NC Guardsmen in their rescue vehicle… that NCNG vehicle tipped. https://t.co/ronbsDakTN
