And as we told you last week, this just isn’t the entire story. It’s a JROTC program:

Truth. ?The NRA grant went to the U.S. Army JROTC at the high school.
The JROTC protected fellow students with Kevlar vests during shooting.

A JROTC program which also trained these heroes last week. Sally Kohn left them out of her tweet:

1) Cruz was a member of the JROTC, and yes the NRA does provide funding for this air rifle competition program (4H has one too)

2) JROTC is a Federal program sponsored by the U.S. Armed Forces.

4) It was expanded under the 1964 ROTC Vitalization Act
