In what’s being reported as an “unprecedented move,” Sen. Cory Booker is set to testify against fellow Senator Jeff Sessions at his confirmation hearing for Attorney General today:

Way to make history, Dems. From CNN:
This would be the first time in Senate history that a sitting senator will testify against another sitting senator for a Cabinet post during a confirmation.
So, what’s driving Sen. Booker to take this first-of-its-kind action? Sen. Booker told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes last night that these are “extraordinary times and they call for extraordinary measures”:

Or it’s a sitting senator taking advantage of the “extraordinary times” to set himself up for 2020…
I'm not a fan of Sessions as AG, but even Democrats and progressives see through the obvious irrelevance & self-promotional BS of this move. https://t.co/IPyyoQT6k7
