This is just the perfect metaphor for the media in 2016 https://t.co/Nvrp2Frd46

Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold has a piece out today chronicling his coverage of Donald Trump during the 2016 election. A piece that includes this anecdote about a trip to the emergency room after he shot himself in the eye with a glitter gun.
Literally.
He put the gun up to his eye, looked down the barrel, and pulled the trigger to see what would happen:
Incredible. Hopped up on his first Trump scoop, @Fahrenthold shot himself in the eye with a confetti gun: https://t.co/wqSRnRGhFt pic.twitter.com/PXpZCMGbh6

And would it surprise you that this reporter who doesn’t know the first bit about gun safety did a story for the Post on the GOP candidates and their guns?
In the GOP field, just two candidates don't own a gun: Jeb Bush and Chris Christie. http://t.co/oU8FUnVA5d

Typical. Hey, maybe next time get a reporter who knows not to look down the barrel of any gun, eh?
You can read Fahrenthold’s whole piece on the 2016 election here:
