Breaking news out of Des Moine, Iowa where we’re seeing reports that 2 police officers have been shot and killed in what’s being described as an “ambush-style” attacks. There aren’t many details as of yet and a news conference has been scheduled for 5 a.m. local time:

Des Moines police now confirming that two police officers were shot and killed overnight, in what police describe as ambush-style attacks.
The first shooting happened at 1:06 a.m. at 70th & Aurora. An Urbandale police officer was shot and killed.The second shooting happened blocks away at Merle Hay & Sheridan at 1:26 a.m. A responding Des Moines police officer was shot and killed there.
