Oh, boy.
After giving what many thought was a great speech on the opening day of the GOP convention, Melania Trump is under fire this morning as portions of what she said last night were quite similar to Michelle Obama’s convention speech in 2008.
Here are the two speeches side-by-side … your thoughts?

Team Trump admitted in a press release last night that Melania’s “team of writers” used “fragments” from other speeches to craft her “beautiful speech”:

But earlier, Melania said that she wrote the speech herself:

Trump supporter Jeffrey Lord downplayed the issue saying on CNN early this morning saying, “this is not Benghazi.”

But Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin thinks it’s a big deal and went as far as to suggest Donald Trump should fire someone over it:

But it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. Paul Manafort denied that there was any plagiarism and blamed Hillary Clinton for trying to take down a strong woman:
Just talked to Paul Manafort. He says there was no plagiarism, the lines from Melania Trump's speech weren't lifted.

Manafort on @CNN: "This is once again an example of how when a woman threatens Hillary Clinton, she tries to demean her and take her down."
