Not ready for Hillary: Oprah Winfrey tells NPR she has no plans to make an endorsement 'this election cycle'

In an election where Hillary Clinton can become the first woman President of the United States, one of the most powerful women in the world — if not the most powerful — is sitting out the primary:

But one thing she won’t be gilding with her name — at least not yet — is a candidate in the 2016 presidential campaign. Winfrey famously campaigned for Barack Obama in 2008 and helped lift him above his rival for the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton.

This year, she tells NPR’s Michele Norris, she has no plans to make an endorsement.

“I do not see a role for myself in this election cycle,” she says.

So much for helping to shatter that glass ceiling!

However, she did defend Hillary recently when rapper T.I. said America wasn’t ready for a woman as president, so Hillary does have at least some support from the mega-star:
