After implementing vaccine requirements to get back to normal, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio announces 'scaled back' NYE in Times Square

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s time in office is drawing to a close, but he’s implemented vaccine mandates and passports that he says will allow things to get back to normal:

Even though everybody who will attend New Year’s Eve in Times Square would have been required to show proof of vaccination, there will be no “back to normal” yet:

If people like Comrade De Blasio are allowed to dictate when “back to normal” is allowed, it will never happen.

Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown always comes to mind when it comes to promises to “get back to normal.”

And now de Blasio is considering running for governor of New York.
