Pushing the so-called “Democratic Socialism” is all the rage on the Left, including among some Democrat candidates for the party’s 2020 nomination. However, not all Dems are fully embracing the sales pitch for socialism, including Rep. Stephanie Murphy of Florida:
Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), the first Vietnamese-American to serve in Congress:
"The idea that in the greatest democracy, the greatest capitalist system in the world, we’re having casual conversation about socialism, offends me."https://t.co/PXVPW0sGPk— Josh Kraushaar (@HotlineJosh) April 3, 2019
U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy, a democrat, is speaking on capitalism from the perspective of someone who grew up in Vietnam. She knows where socialism goes. pic.twitter.com/miGdO49n10

Paging Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez!
Perhaps she can walk down the hall and have a chat with her colleague AOC. https://t.co/ARFzem3ZW5

Rep.Stephanie Martin (D.FL): Murphy – the first Vietnamese-American woman of Congress. Her opposition to socialism is rooted in her youth, growing up in socialist Vietnam. Immigrated to U.S. (refugee) recalls mailing medicine, fabric, bandages, etc. to Vietnam unavailable there.

The left is going to find itself in a flashback issue of immigrants who came from socialist systems or whose parents did not being on board with their Ivory White Tower theories about how wonderful socialism is. Gonna have a blast with Cubans and Eastern Europeans too

She’s done. Will have to re register as a Republican.

We’ll have to wait and see if comments like that get Rep. Murphy kicked out of the modern Democrat Party.
