Until the Senate formally passes a measure to “protect Mueller,” Sen. Jeff Flake has said he won’t vote to forward any Trump judicial nominees out of the Judiciary Committee, and so far that’s exactly what’s happening:
Senate Judiciary Cmte against cancels scheduled mtg where mbrs vote judicial nominees out of cmte. Cmte is 11-10 GOP. Flake says he won't advance judicial nominees until he gets a vote on his bill to protect Mueller. This is the 2nd wk the cmte has canceled such a session

Flake bogging down Senate Judiciary with the second scrapped meeting on judges in consecutive weeks – until he gets a vote on Mueller protection bill. 22 judges bottled up in committee https://t.co/nus7e0fq2f

UPDATE: Grassley postpones Thursday’s Judiciary Committee meeting where several judicial nominees were due to be considered — likely due to Flake’s continued refusal to vote for nominees in committee or on the floor until a vote is held on the so-called Mueller protection bill. pic.twitter.com/DlGzmDI5Qr

Flake’s retiring from the Senate so his roadblocks likely won’t be up much longer.
Flakes legacy!!!

That will certainly be one of Flake’s legacies, but judging from the applause he’s getting from the anti-Trump Resistance perhaps Flake’s resume will be all the more appealing to MSNBC or CNN:
At the very least he is exposing just how desperately Republicans actually *want* Mueller’s investigation to be quashed. Ramming through Republican corporate judges is McConnell’s reason for living. https://t.co/sh23pVS2hx

Finally Flake has done something that matters, although in this case it merely delays the vote on judicial nominees for a little over a month. https://t.co/kgDnZZ6ibM

I'm glad he finally found his spine, but it's too little, too late. https://t.co/PSt2ifr0TD
