Yesterday President Trump issued a statement of support for the anti-regime protesters in Iran. Trump also put the “oppressive regime” on notice three months ago at the United Nations:
Many reports of peaceful protests by Iranian citizens fed up with regime’s corruption & its squandering of the nation’s wealth to fund terrorism abroad. Iranian govt should respect their people’s rights, including right to express themselves. The world is watching! #IranProtests

Flashback: Remarks by President Trump at the UN in September. "#Iran’s people are what their leaders fear the most…oppressive regimes cannot endure forever, and the day will come when the Iranian people will face a choice." https://t.co/3kyNx0Ngqe pic.twitter.com/uTDGt2tfpN

None of that was nearly enough for David Frum:
Jan 27, 2017, President Trump issued visa ban upon any/all Iranian national seeking to enter US. Order warned that those banned might try to impose sharia upon US ("elevate violent ideologies over American law"). Hard to imagine any word from this POTUS could do good in Iran now

Somebody was going to find that angle!
"The Iranian protests are Trump's fault" is quite the hot take https://t.co/gevwzBcRyw

So Frum responds to the Iran protests by… bashing Trump. Trump Derangement Syndrome is a serious disease. https://t.co/zM6F63ERp1
