Bette Midler knows how to fix US that's been 'constipated' by Congress for '8 years'

Something doesn’t add up in Bette Midler’s call for voters to be the laxative beneath the Democrats’ wings:

The US has been constipated for 8 years with an obstructionist Congress! Get rid of the blockage! VOTE DEMOCRAT DOWN THE TICKET!!

Well, in fairness, it’s only been six years. Democrats controlled Congress for Obama’s first two years in office and in the 2010 midterms voters apparently decided they’d had enough of that.

Your math is off. For two years there was a Democrat controlled Congress.
