Petition to remove Clarence Thomas from SCOUTS reaches one million signatures, so why is he still there?

We’ve seen liberals tweeting all week about one of those moveon.org petitions to remove Justice Clarence Thomas from the Supreme Court. These petitions pop up all the time and never result in anything happening, but we guess people like to know they’ve signed their name to something. We could have picked from any number of tweets, but we like this one from Ariana Afshar (she/her) because she notes that the petition has reached one million signatures, so “why is he still serving his position”?

We find it endlessly ironic that the organization that was founded literally to encourage the nation to “move on” from President Bill Clinton’s impeachment has lobbied for the impeachments of President Donald Trump as well as Thomas:

The right-wing rigged Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last week, effectively taking away the right to privacy and bodily autonomy that’s been considered legal precedent for the past 50 years. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas—who sided with the majority on overturning Roe—made it clear what’s next: to overturn high court rulings that establish gay rights and contraception rights.

Six justices found that Roe v. Wade was unconstitutional, but the Left is targeting the black guy almost exclusively.

So how does Thomas still have his seat on the court?

As we always say, we try not to pick on Twitter randos, but Afshar is a TikTok influencer with 68,000 followers:

That’s almost as many as a million followers! Why doesn’t she have her own show on MSNBC yet?
