Katy Tur to evangelicals: Isn't separating families at the border as offensive, if not more, than abortion?

Here’s a nice catch from the folks at the Media Research Center. MSNBC anchor Katy Tur sat down with a liberal evangelical pastor and a conservative evangelical activist Monday, and when the issue of separating families at the border came up, Tur wondered if that wasn’t more offensive to Christians than abortion.

Tur’s liberal guest, Reverend Raphael Warnock of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, railed against President Trump’s “un-Christian” immigration policy of stopping the thousands-strong migrant caravan at the border and spoke against family separations, calling the children separated from their parents “our babies.”

That inspired Tur to turn the issue over to Timothy Head of the Faith and Freedom Coalition:

I’m not sure you’re addressing what the Reverend just said which is if you’re talking about being pro-life and protecting fetuses, protecting babies in the womb. What about the babies who are being taken away from their parents at the border. I get this question a lot from folks when they talk about evangelicals. Why was that not as offensive, if not more, than say, something like abortion?

She gets that question a lot.
