It wasn’t long after U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley announced her resignation Tuesday that Bloomberg’s White House reporter was on Twitter floating the theory that Haley stepped down “because of discontent over Kavanaugh’s confirmation” — although she did add, “I have no indication.”
Now David Frum is peddling his own theories on why Haley would step down now — even though she says she decided six months ago that she needed a break and would probably stay until the end of the year.
Frum’s theory too has to do with the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation, but it’s a little more fleshed-out; Frum seems to think President Trump declaring Christine Blasey Ford’s story to be a hoax was the last straw.
