'Unite the Right' organizer vanishes from Twitter after blaming mixture of alcohol and drugs for heinous tweet

When Twitchy last checked in on Jason Kessler, organizer of the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Va., at which a young woman named Heather Heyer was killed, he was being tackled by a rather small woman after being chased away from the podium at a press conference last Sunday.

Things haven’t really been looking up for Kessler since then. His Twitter account has vanished after he posted a vile tweet about Heyer … a tweet he later blamed on a combination of alcohol and prescription drugs.

In a tweet late Friday night, someone posted on Kessler’s Twitter feed, “Heather Heyer was a fat, disgusting Communist. Communists have killed 94 million. Looks like it was payback time.”

“On Saturday morning,” though, reported Matt Pearce in the Los Angeles Times, “the tweet had been deleted from Kessler’s account, which initially claimed he’d been hacked but then backtracked and said he’d been on a mixture of drugs.”

We were in shock when we saw liberals making literal comparisons of today’s alt-left antifa to the soldiers who stormed the beach at Normandy. Today’s black-hoodie-wearing thugs aren’t soldiers, and a white supremacist who apologizes for tweeting while on Xanax and Ambien is no Hitler, either.
