Employee whose memo criticized Google as an 'ideological echo chamber' reportedly fired

The Google employee who posted a memo calling for an honest discussion of the company’s diversity policies, which he said was in part enforced by the company’s “culture of shaming and misrepresentation” has reportedly been fired.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai issued his own memo Monday, saying that the memo writer had violated Google’s code of conduct by crossing the line and “advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace.”
