Hot from the “not at all surprising” file: it turns out that the father of an 18-year-old high school freshman in the United States illegally and charged with the first degree rape of 14-year-old girl in a Rockville High School restroom also was residing in the United States illegally.

The other suspect in the high school rape case, Jose Montano, 17, a citizen of El Salvador, told investigators he was living with his uncle along Lincoln Street in Rockville at the time of his arrest. It is unclear if Montano’s uncle is in the U.S. legally or if he is facing deportation as well.
