President Donald Trump’s planned trip to Milwaukee, Wisc., Thursday to deliver a speech on the economy has been called off, reportedly because Harley-Davidson, which was supposed to host the event, was uncomfortable with the threat of protests.

According to an administration official, it was Harley-Davidson’s discomfort with the idea of protests that led the White House to cancel the trip. For its part, the company pinned the following tweet to its home page Tuesday afternoon:

It might not seem like a partisan idea, but love for freedom is wide open to interpretation: to some it means the freedom to travel freely from country to country, while others might consider it the right of a free people to control their country’s borders.
