Admittedly, Sen. Cory Booker having an imaginary friend isn’t such a big deal … Barack Obama’s composite girlfriend didn’t seem to hold him back in his political career. And speaking of political careers, something seems to be giving people the impression that Booker would like to follow a path similar to Obama’s.
Booker’s unprecedented choice to testify against attorney general nominee Jeff Sessions, another sitting senator, was pretty transparent to a lot of people, so maybe he should consider easing up on the gas a bit, considering Donald Trump’s first full week in office isn’t yet complete.
Or, perhaps Trump will be impeached, Mike Pence will step aside, and somehow America will discover that the line of succession eventually leads to the junior senator from New Jersey. Wouldn’t that be cool, T-Bone?
