As Twitchy reported Tuesday, Judicial Watch managed to secure even more previously unreleased emails from the State Department, opening up a whole new can of worms for the Democratic nominee.
Emails revealed even further the department’s lax attitude toward national security and showed that top aide Huma Abedin apparently had full access to read and send emails from Clinton’s non-secure, personal email account run from her homebrew email server.
One of the most damning revelations was the corrupt relationship between the State Department and the Clinton Foundation and the existence of at least one pay-for-play scheme involving a major donor, but how about the Justice Department declining the FBI’s request to investigate the foundation?
BREAKING: New Report Claims the Department of Justice Rejected FBI Requests to Investigate Clinton Foundation https://t.co/VCVM7hLZax

CNN reported Wednesday that the FBI had asked the Justice Department earlier this year to open an investigation into the Clinton Foundation, but the department passed.
Uh, was this previously known? Kind of a big deal… https://t.co/ugHIQ0gJhv pic.twitter.com/mScVqmHQl8

Sincere question: has the Justice Department done anything during the Obama administration even remotely connected to criminal justice rather than social justice?
So the FBI petitioned the Justice Department to open a criminal corruption probe into the Clinton Foundation, but were rebuffed?

Why doesn't CNN elaborate on this? When exactly was the FBI petition made? During the primaries? Who exactly "declined" the probe request?

I know these are very rude questions and don't explicitly involve condemning Trump, but maybe they're nonetheless worth looking into.

Take 2:
CNN has dramatically revised the wording of this paragraph (without notation) since I first tweeted a screenshot pic.twitter.com/7RsUMtGjKO

So, while the FBI was conducting its routine “security review” of Hillary Clinton’s email setup, several field offices asked to investigate the relationship between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department. That sort of request would suggest the FBI suspected something was up, no?
So the FBI thought it had enough evidence on the Clinton Foundation to move forward, but the Justice Dept. said no? https://t.co/YxUXjQHfR5

FBI: Hey, could you look into charges of the Clinton's corruption?
Justice Dept: Nope
