We know that President Obama isn’t royalty because he said so himself in 2013, when pressed on the question of why he wasn’t issuing executive actions to speed immigration reform along. “I’m not a king,” he confessed to viewers of Univision and Telemundo, obviously frustrated by the fact.
That was years ago; is he a king now? The Obama administration has issued a directive which is being sent to school districts Friday requiring them to allow students to use whichever restroom and locker room matches their gender identity.

“There is no room in our schools for discrimination of any kind, including discrimination against transgender students on the basis of their sex,” Attorney General Loretta Lynch said in a statement.
DOJ and DOEduc serve notice that to enforce non-discrimination they regard a student’s gender identity the same as the student’s sex.

Gov. Greg Abbott didn’t hesitate to remind the president that he’s still not royalty.
I announced today that Texas is fighting this. Obama can't rewrite the Civil Rights Act. He's not a King. #tcot https://t.co/vDgfQPZXjR

@seanmdav Obama's not a king? Oh crap, then what explains the past 7 years? Certainly not adherence to the Constitution …
