Michael Moore still thinks Newtown crime scene photos would 'fix' America's gun problem

It was March when amateur detective Michael Moore declared that the Sandy Hook massacre in Newtown, Conn., in December was the “handiwork” of Fox News’ Sean Hannity and his buddies at the NRA. He dared Hannity to defend his political beliefs after looking at the crime scene photos, which Moore had been told looked like the work of a “meat grinder.”

Today, Moore clarified that he graciously doesn’t want the crime scene photos released without the permission of the children’s’ parents … even though doing so would certainly “fix this problem” once and for all.

What caused this sudden turnaround? A group of Newtown parents started a petition at Change.org asking Moore to stop pushing for the release of the pictures to misuse for political gain.

We are parents and family members who lost children in the terrible tragedy at Sandy Hook elementary school in December 2012. We’re coming together to urge the Connecticut legislature to pass a law that would keep sensitive information, including photos and audio, about this tragic day private and out of the hands of people who’d like to misuse it for political gain.

Michael Moore and the hoaxers want to publish this gruesome information. For the sake of the surviving children and families, it’s important to keep this information private.

Some of Moore’s followers still aren’t convinced.
