The campaign that never ends has spread from the White House to Capitol Hill. While President Obama has been pushing the (brilliantly hijacked) #My2K hashtag for weeks to sell his tax hike on those making over $250,000 (i.e., millionaires and billionaires), Democratic legislators have started urging their GOP colleagues to #DoTheRightThing.

Another lame hashtag in place of actual negotiations? This sounds like a good candidate for a hijacking.

Stop campaigning? Does he know how?

  • my preciousss!!

obama, #DoTheRightThing and show up for work.

    • Lord Foggybottom

No way, man. Obama showing up for work is what got us into this mess. #DoTheRightThing and take a 4-year vacation!

      • http://www.twitter.com/blisstabitha Tabitha

My gosh could you imagine what that would cost us? (or rather our great, great grandkids?) lol

  • Lord Foggybottom

The Democrats campaign on the EXACT opposite thing they’re in favor of and the mindless zombies buy into it every. single. time. #DoTheRightThing my ass…

    • Guest

      Wrong.

  • pairadimes

#DoTheRightThing Audit the Fed. Cut spending. Reform and cap entitlements. Secure the border. Voter ID. Pass a budget. Eliminate the EPA. Use the Constitution.

    • http://www.facebook.com/DvorskyL Louis Dvorsky

      Eliminate the TSA.

    • conservativechick

Then they might have to actually work a few days.

  • J.N. Ashby

How about #DoTheRightThing and repeal the 16th amendment altogether?

  • GoSellCrazySomeplaceElse

#DoTheRightThing Stop spending his money, her money and My Money! Democrats, your spending fetish is …dirty.

  • Penmar

One of the things that ticks me off the most is cutting spending in Social Security, mostly the cuts they talk about hurt our Seniors who have spent their lives paying into that system. If they want to cut SS, they need to start with all those receiving it that have never paid into the system. But of course any time it’s brought up, they blame the taxpayers that have paid into the system, never the ones that receive it and have never given a dime in taxes to SS. The excuse for SS being on the road to bankruptcy is always too many baby boomers retiring or living longer. And from personal experience I know this happens. Food Stamps has gone up 1000 percent in the last 50 yrs, no one is talking about cutting that. They never talk about cutting out all the crap they spend money on like $300,000 for a robotic squirrel who won’t wag it’s tail to see how a snake would react, or the millions of dollars spent on a menu if any one ever happens to go to mars. Whatever happened to common sense? Is it just me or do those things sound just as stupid as Pelosi saying you have to pass it before you can find out what is in it?

    • Cyrena

The only people NOT talking about cutting Food Stamps and bailouts are the politicians.

  • ackerson

Liberals push for higher tax rates then evade paying their own taxes. Liberals are born liars and hypocrites.

  • CombatDiver

I have given up hope of the gop ever voting on their convictions and what is fiscally responsible for the country. Most are no better or any more fiscally responsible than the democrats. As The Great One calls them, the modern day gop has become the wig party.

    • http://www.twitter.com/blisstabitha Tabitha

If we start working on a transition to a 3rd party now & really get a movement going we can bury them next to the Whigs & say buh-byeee to the RINO’s & Progressives! Check out the Constitution Party platform. Conservative’s dream & already the most popular & established 3rd party. šŸ˜€

  • Joseph Phillips

Yeah! Raise taxes and pay for the gummint for nine whole days. Or, Dems, do the right thing and quit spending money we don’t have. We’re going over…

    • http://www.twitter.com/blisstabitha Tabitha

They wouldn’t know the right thing if it smacked em upside the head! lol All they know is lies, division, pillaging & destruction. But you already knew that. šŸ˜‰

    • Streetiebird

Yeah! When Cons talk about cutting funding to NPR because we can’t afford it, then a few million seems like a lot of money. But when it comes to reducing the deficit, many billions of dollars will only “pay for the gummint for nine whole days”.

And people wonder why we can’t make progress on the Fiscal Cliff…

      • Catchance

Actually, conservatives don’t want to fund NPR because it’s a left-wing mosh pit of lies and deceit.

        • Streetiebird

Ah yes, I forgot that facts have become left-wing. Do you even listen to NPR? How have they been biased for the left wing lately? I know car talk is such a haven of liberal ideology LOL

      • Joseph Phillips

NPR isn’t needed anymore – liberal or conservative. This isn’t “The Waltons” where John Boy and Mary Ellen crowd around the old radio to hear the news. If NPR is so great – “All Things Considered” – let them compete in the marketplace with everyone else. We, that is we the taxpayers, don’t need to spend a dime on anything that’s not essential. As much as I enjoy “The Prairie Home Companion” I don’t want to finance it through China.

        • Streetiebird

But you don’t want Obama’s cuts because it’s only a few thousand times more money being cut than was being spent on NPR?

      • Joseph Phillips

Ya QE4 will kill the dollar, we are starting to see all food prices consumer products go up from QE3. Just you wait to see the effects of QE4.

  • digitalPimple

#DoTheRightThing and sign this white House petition for open door negotiations from here on out. no more hiding –> https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/hold-all-present-future-budget-reform-or-public-policy-negotiations-fully-open-and-transparent/gCg8ZZr1

  • http://twitter.com/MoueLaMoue Moue La Moue (D)

#DoTheRightThing and stop penalizing those of us who work for a living! How WELL I do in life depends on how HARD I work. Teach that in school, why don’t you?

  • Streetiebird

#DoTheRightThing and stop protecting the uber-rich; they failed to create jobs when we gave them more money, so we should use it for something else instead.

    • Catchance

Oh, blah, blah, blah. Can’t you come up with anything other than liberal talking points? Those uber-rich who failed to create jobs (after the LIBERAL congress gave them more money) were all donors to Obama’s campaign.

      • Streetiebird

Can you come up with anything besides conservative talking points? We’re still paying for Bush’s campaign if that’s the way you want to frame it.

    • BeeKaaay

Well, they’re democrats, that’s why. They only want to give jobs to cronies.

      • Guest

        Wrong. Both parties do that.

        • BeeKaaay

because both major parties have been taken over by Marxists.

  • Streetiebird

#DoTheRightThing and take a balanced approach to reducing our debt, instead of asking the president to lock in the tax rates for the rich permanently.

    • Catchance

#DoTheRightThing and stop repeating liberal sound bytes as if they were actually true.

      • Streetiebird

#DoTheRightThing and ignore me then if you don’t like my hijack of your hijack.

    • Lord Foggybottom

Hey jackass, how is the president going to reduce our debt when he WON’T STOP SPENDING? Are you really this stupid, or are you just giving us something to play with?

  • BeeKaaay

    #Dotherightthing: REJECT MARXISM.
