Democrat Ro Khanna and billionaire Mark Cuban got into an epic back-and-forth on X Saturday. "Moderate" Khanna wants a wealth tax in California, which Bernie Sanders supports. Cuban took Khanna to school, laying out every way this would be an utter disaster for California and how it would drive investors away from the Golden State. We covered the whole communism vs. capitalism battle here. Read it now and then come back.
Ok, you’re back. Insane, right? Many are saying this should be a wake-up call for Cuban, who foolishly supported Kamala Harris for president in 2024.
Here’s more. (READ)
Mark Cuban is absolutely cooking Ro Khanna on his wealth tax scheme, and that's good.
But this is the party Mark supports. He became a major Kamala surrogate in 2024.
Here he is talking with Maddow about how Trump will target business leaders he doesn't like for retribution.
He was also all over media insisting Kamala's flip-flopping on a host of radical positions was because she'd really changed, and how pro-business she was.
Two years later, and now here he is, wondering how something like this could be happening.
Harris and her fellow Democrats never intended to be pro-business. But Cuban fell for it. Here he is on Rachel Maddow’s show in 2024 accusing Trump of planning to do what Khanna and his Democrats are doing now. (WATCH)

If they both wore their glasses it would be like Mark Cuban having a conversation with himself 🤓

Vote Democrat if you want a pro-business agenda, he insisted just two years ago. https://t.co/kisA4otIOB pic.twitter.com/UbAFhvtXJv
Pro-Business??? Harris is for things like price controls, tax the "rich" & no more oil...!!! Never ran a business in her life and is economically illiterate. 🤡🤡🤡🤡

You’d think Cuban would be smart enough to see that Democrats have lied to him and that Khanna and the radical DSA now dictate the party’s tax policies and economic stance.
Commenters say this is all posturing from Khanna, whose party plans to go even harder left in the run-up to the 2028 presidential election.
I think Ro knows this goes nowhere, and what he actually is trying to do is position himself for a 2028 Democratic primary that he believes is going to be a race to the hard left. In which he’s the hard-left grown-up with actual important-sounding plans as opposed to the kind of garbled semi-literate nonsense that comes out of AOC’s mouth.
Moderate Dems, to the extent any exist, are in a bind. Alarmed by the socialism, they really don’t have anything to counter it with short of going Republican. There is no moderate turf in the Democratic Party; they seceded all the ground to the hard left a long time ago.

Mark had hoped that if he played ball with the Democrat Commies, they wouldn't come for him. Now they're coming for him. The only wealthy Commies are politicians.

Zero doubt.

That’s the thing. The Democrats are going to rob Cuban blind and punish him for daring to create businesses and jobs. Despite this, he’ll still likely vote Democrat in the midterms and beyond. And when he does, he’ll get exactly what he voted for.
