If you needed proof that some conservatives are just built different, look no further than the Republican nominee for Iowa governor.
Back in 2009, when a fresh-faced college kid named Zach Lahn stepped up to the mic at an Obama town hall, he didn’t lob softballs. He went right after the soon-to-be-passed Affordable Care Act with the kind of precision and courage most politicians only dream about.
Think about it. Would you have had the courage (or cared enough) to school the President of the United States on anything when you were 17? I was absolutely a mouthy kid but there is NO WAY I'd have had the cojones to do what he did here.
Not to mention most kids his age are confused and think they're Democrats.

Seventeen years later, that same kid — now a sixth-generation Iowa farmer, businessman, and father — is running for the state’s top job. And thanks to a full clip making the rounds on X (complete with classic Rush Limbaugh commentary), conservatives everywhere are getting a nostalgic reminder of why Lahn’s been the real deal since before “MAGA” was even a hashtag.
This is so damn cool.
