Leave it to David French to play the self-appointed arbiter of 'decency' in American politics, swooning over a progressive darling like James Talarico as if he's the beacon of moral high ground in a sea of supposed indecency.
While conservatives are busy calling out the radical left's twisted takes on everything from faith to family, French is out here trying to redefine the national divide not as right versus left, but as nice guys like his pet Democratic theologian versus the big bad conservatives who actually stick to traditional principles.
French knows this guy is big on supporting abortion and transgender, right? Then again, he's so far gone after moving to The New York Times he may not know it.
Or he does, and he's ok with it.
Either way, yikes.

If the primary American divide is between right and left, then Talarico isn’t that interesting. There’s a long history of progressive religious activism in the United States, just as there is a long history of conservative religious activism.

Yet if the primary American divide…
Post continues:
... is between decent and indecent, then the equation changes. Talarico shines.
He shines.
Sure.
Anything to hurt Trump. Anything to hurt America.

Not enough frogs of shame in the world for this guy.
Talarico loves ... LOVES ... abortion. pic.twitter.com/GbafNc411W

But he's shiny and stuff. A beacon, even.
French says so.
