As someone who's spent way too many hours scrolling through the endless parade of hot takes, cold takes, garbage takes, and stupid posts in general, I can tell you that nothing grinds my gears more than the lazy 'both sides are bad' trope.
You know the one: where pundits and pearl-clutchers pretend that the radical left's agenda is somehow on par with the right's occasional foot-in-mouth moments. And then they shriek, 'COUNTRY OVER PARTY' or some other happy horse manure.
Well, Joel Berry, the managing editor over at The Babylon Bee, just dropped a post that's pure gold in calling out this nonsense; Berry's post hit my feed like a breath of fresh air amid the smog of media spin.
Here's what he said:
Both sides have problems.
— Joel Berry (@JoelWBerry) February 7, 2026
The Left butchers babies, grooms and sexually mutilates the survivors, torches cities, celebrates murderous lawlessness, and taxes families into absolute subjugation
The Right, on the other hand, hires staffers who accidentally post insensitive memes
MONSTERS.

He is, of course, referring to the Obama monkeys screenshot that was the result of an autoplay on a video Trump shared on Truth Social. I will tell you, as a Virginian currently watching Democrats actively working to destroy my representation at the federal level, I didn't really care about that stupid screenshot.
Or about the drama that followed.
Almost as if Berry gets that ...
