The odd part about all this is that 1) Twitter never directly said that we did these things, and they refused to do so when the media questioned if we did. 2) Twitter allows users to use multiple accounts, and it is not against their terms of service.

The only thing that we can guess as to the reasoning behind Twitter banning our accounts, while not banning Ed’s other personal account (not used in 9 years), is the fact that they didn’t like how we built these accounts up.

9 years ago, we created a social networking website which was intended for fans of music groups. In doing so, we also had numerous Twitter accounts dedicated to various musician fan clubs.

At this time, we also made posts that we were looking to purchase Twitter accounts around various topics of interest (remember this was 9 years ago, at a time when it was NOT against Twitter’s terms to buy or sell accounts).

Anyhow, we never bought any accounts, but around this same period of time we were able to build our fan Twitter club accounts up quite significantly (one to 200,000 followers and another up to 50,000+) based on fans of two different musicians.

our voices and speak up for causes we believed in. In doing so, both of us changed the names of our Twitter accounts, first to accounts with names that showed our displeasure with Trump, and then several months later to our own personal names.

Because we had such a large following, our Tweets would get a lot of likes and retweets when we would reply to the president. This, along with the fact that we each followed nearly 1000 other anti-Trump Twitter accounts daily, made our accounts explode, gaining in popularity.

We had a method to who we’d follow, and it worked much better than we had even expected.

Running multiple accounts to spam a message is actually a big no-no but whatevs.
Could it be seen as being a bit deceptive, probably, but once again we believe we followed every one of Twitter’s rules. That’s why, when we discovered that these two accounts had been permanently banned, it surprised us.

We were called “grifters” and trolls frequently, yet we never took a single dime of profit from our tweets or from any project that we pursued and promoted via our tweets, other than a few thousand dollars we made co-founding and helping run the news site HillReporter.

The rumors that we ran bot farms or purchased interactions stemmed from the media taking Twitter's statement, which did NOT state we did this, and running with it. We are the biggest supporters of a company's rights to uphold their TOS and ban those who they believe abused them.

Because of the fact that Twitter did not ban our other account, we assume that the ban may have been because of the way we followed large numbers of users, changed the names of old accounts, or perhaps replied multiple times to the President's deluded, ignorant tweets,

This individual blocked us so that we couldn't monitor what they were posting. Our attorney told us to create these accounts in order to monitor such threats.
