A 2018 clip of the then-25-year-old Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk cornering Hasan Piker is making the rounds again — and it still lands like a brick through a champagne flute. Kirk’s question was simple: if socialism is so moral, why not give away most of your paycheck and go live on a commune?

Hasan, with uncle and boss Cenk Uygur sitting in the audience, suddenly discovered that preaching from a Young Turks chair is a lot easier than practicing it, then watched Cenk try to flip the table by demanding Kirk’s salary. Kirk stood up, said he lives like a capitalist, gives to charity, and makes less than the socialist on stage. That boss was Cenk Uygur (Hasan's uncle), who then started shouting at Kirk from the audience, demanding to know HIS salary.
Kirk shot out of his seat and said this:
"I live like a capitalist, okay? I live what I believe! What do I do? I give charity every single year! What's my salary? Less than his."
