For example, he came out swinging after he'd been defending Mark Ruffalo in some bizarre white knight for the Hulk noise. Seems he thought bringing up Bernie Sanders was a good idea until it wasn't and this popped up as a reply to the very wealthy socialist:

On the substance, I also didn't say that Sanders is an antisemite. What I did say in my @TheFP OpEd is that he is "... pushing the party to absorb the most radical fringe voices in its midst, who will actively fuel antisemitism in the halls of Congress and in society as a whole."
I also made my role on the campaign clear, saying: "I spent three and a half months on the Sanders campaign back in 2020, attempting to chart a path that would make American Jewish supporters of Israel feel welcome in the Sanders coalition—and in the Democratic Party as a whole. I won many small battles back then, but it’s clear I lost the war. Today, the noxious shoots I saw emerging have become deeply rooted. Now, the movement is fully grown, and it threatens to smother the Democratic Party."

Bernie also unequivocally condemned Hamas and October 7th. He has been protested, as I was, for not calling for a ceasefire the day after the horrific attacks. He seeks equal rights and dignity for both the Palestinian people and the Jewish people.
I truly believe if he were President today he would take bold steps towards a just peace. He would recognize a non Hamas Palestinian state and lead the nations of the world to give more than lip service to Palestinian self-determination. Do you not agree?

What Bernie realizes is that our policies for decades have been biased towards unconditional support of Israel. The problem is not that we will suddenly swing in the extreme, opposite direction. No one believes that, especially when we still are giving Israel unconditional aid as I type this and our House passed a measure to further integrate our military with Israel's. Our Congress is frustratingly out of touch with American voters.
So yes Bernie & I have supported insurgents challenging the stale foreign policy blob. Do I agree with every word these insurgents say on the topic? Of course not. Do I agree always with their tone? No. But do I believe the insurgency will finally shake Washington out of its slumber --will crack an insular Beltway where Rahm Emanuel used to call @BRhodes "Hamas" with a joking impunity--I absolutely do. I believe a new generation will bring moral leadership in the Middle East.
You could be part of bringing about that peace. I hope you may choose to play that role going forward.

... without personal and professional repercussions. I was willing to take that fight on because of my strong view that Israelis and Palestinians needed American diplomacy to resolve their conflict. I still hold that view.
Back then, Senator Sanders, as I mentioned in my @TheFP OpEd, was essentially silent on Israel issues. That's not a criticism, it's just that I took on the challenge when it was hard and not popular, many years before he did. Times have clearly changed. Thankfully I'm still standing to talk about it.
My point is this: I'm a peace guy (including have served as a Peace Corps Volunteer) and put my career on the line when it was hard to advance peace. I didn't and don't demagogue the issue. I don't pull photo-op stunts. That's what I'm hoping we Democrats will do as a party, so that we can get to peace and not rely on injecting bigoted candidates into our party to try to achieve it. That won't work, and instead, it will tear us apart.
Seems his Democrat peers missed the memo.
