Fairfax County police just pulled off the kind of undercover sting every parent wants to see more of: detectives posing as minors online, nine men showing up expecting a child, and a pile of solicitation charges waiting when they arrived. FOX 5 DC flagged the bust as the kind of local win that should feel straightforward. This being Northern Virginia, though, the good-news window closed about as fast as Steve Descano’s office could start processing bond paperwork.

A majority of the men arrested in the proactive enforcement effort traveled to the county to engage in encounters with minors, according to police.
Detectives posed as minors during the online operation to identify suspects using internet platforms to initiate sexually explicit conversations with minors.
The suspects believed they were meeting a child in Fairfax County for a sexual encounter when they were met with detectives.
The nine men arrested range in age from 21 to 48, and face 20 criminal charges between them, police said.

You'd think men who traveled to the United States to deliberately have sex with minors should probably NOT be set free so easily. Then again, this is the same dillweed who helped a murderer get his passport and then the murderer fled the country.
