It's Not 'Brat Summer' Anymore: Democrat Mary Peltola REJECTS Endorsement From Kamala Harris

Democrat and former Alaska Rep. Mary Peltola is running for the Senate in The Last Frontier this fall, and she has a big hill to climb if she wants to knock off Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan in a Trump plus-13 state.

Accordingly, Peltola is doing everything she can to localize the election and avoid any national attention — or associations. 

Her campaign sounds strikingly familiar to that of former Maine candidate Graham Platner, with her slogan of "Fish, Family, and Freedom." We can only hope that Peltola does not also have an SS tattoo on her body or frequents vile dating sites where child pornography runs rampant.

While Peltola is desperately trying to brand herself as a moderate, she's going to have a difficult time running away from her record in the House of Representatives, like in 2024 when she channeled Joe Scarborough and assured America that Joe Biden was fit as a fiddle: 

Whoopsies! 

Think that will come up in the debate? 

Another way Peltola is trying to rebrand herself comes at the expense of the Democrat Party's biggest stars. A couple of days ago, her campaign publicly rejected an endorsement from 2024 presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

There isn't much "joy" in Kamala-land these days, is there? 

In fairness, according to The New York Times, Peltola's campaign said that they were not seeking the endorsement of ANY politicians in the Lower 48: 

“Mary isn’t seeking endorsements from anyone from the Lower 48 — her focus is and always will be Alaska,” the campaign said in a statement that cited the support Ms. Peltola has captured from several Alaska labor groups.

OK, but there is a HUGE difference between 'not seeking' outside endorsements and openly rejecting one from the party's national standard-bearer only two years ago. 

Also, according to Yasher Ali, Peltola DID ask for Harris's endorsement just last month. 

... campaign equally, the NRSC attacked Peltola for associating with Harris. 

Peltola’s campaign, seeking to distance itself from Harris, told the NYT that it had not approved the email Harris sent and had no knowledge of it before it was sent. 

That left the impression that Peltola’s campaign had nothing to do with the email. But a source directly familiar with the request confirmed to me that it was Peltola’s campaign that asked Harris’ political operation to send a fundraising email. The request from Peltola’s campaign for the email was made in late July. 

I reached out to a spokesman for Peltola’s campaign and have not heard back yet.

Someone is not telling the truth here. The problem is, when it comes to differences between Democrats, it's difficult to know who is lying because they ALL lie, all the time. 

And if we were Ali, we wouldn't hold our breath waiting for an answer from the Peltola campaign. 

In any case, it is a huge wallop of egg in the face of Harris and the national Democrat Party. 

If Ali's reporting is accurate, this may be some shady gamesmanship by the Democrats. 

Not that a Democrat would EVER stoop to shady tactics. Heavens to Betsy! 

Peltola may be lying about her record and her position as a 'centrist,' but that doesn't mean she's dumb. 

An endorsement from Harris is poison anywhere except for deep blue states. 

Hey, we said that Peltola isn't dumb. We did NOT say that about Harris.

LOL. Remember when she danced to a protest song in Puerto Rico? A protest song that was directed at HER? 

We remember. 

Well, at least she ought to be used to it by now.

Live by identity politics, Democrats; die by identity politics. 

In the end, whether this was just the latest humiliation in Kamala Harris's long list of them or a strategic attempt to make Peltola seem 'moderate,' it didn't really fool anyone. 

... that happen. Early voting is happening all across our state. Go vote and get five friends to do the same. Let’s go Alaska!

That's the best way to counter Peltola's rejection of Harris, assuming it was an attempt to fool voters.

Get out and vote against her anyway. As early as possible. 

After all, anyone who would say publicly that Biden was 'sharp as a tack' in 2024 clearly cannot be trusted with a Senate seat.
