As Twitchy has reported, perhaps no organization is more distraught over the demolition of the East Wing and its more than a century of history, such as the uprooting of two historic magnolia trees commemorating Presidents Warren G. Harding and Franklin D. Roosevelt, than ABC News, which reports that President Donald Trump might be naming the ballroom after himself, in a story headlined, "Trump says no plans to name White House ballroom after himself."
Terry Moran was a senior correspondent for ABC News until this summer, when he posted an absolutely vile smear of Stephen Miller on X. This came just two months after Trump roasted Moran to his face for participating in the cover-up of President Joe Biden's cognitive decline.
Now an independent journalist with no need to hide his liberal bias, Moran also weighed in on the White House renovation with what he calls three problems:
Three problems with the destruction of the East Wing of the White House:
— Terry Moran 🇺🇸 (@TerryMoran) October 23, 2025
1. Dubious legality.
2. High likelihood of corruption in funding.
3. Grotesque deformation of an American house, built in an harmonious and republican ethos, soon to be bloated by an emiratic carbuncle. pic.twitter.com/iwkr6z1VJe
"Built in an harmonious and republican ethos." The press freaked out in 2020 when Trump signed an executive order that classical architecture should be the default for federal buildings.
You’re the fake journalist that was fired right? Just making sure I got the context correct.

Three problems with Terry Moran:

Dubious ability
High likelihood of corruption - oh super high likelihood
Grotesque mentally gymnastics used to avoid his accepting points 1 and 2.
“harmonious and republican ethos, soon to be bloated by an emiratic carbuncle.” Got it. pic.twitter.com/Dved3FakP0

You literally crafted this entire, breathless, demonstrably false tweet just because you wanted to use the phrase "emiratic carbuncle." Because *that* is the kind of insufferable twatwaffle you are. Tiresome. 🙄

Terry— as an “independent journalist,” you’re aware of how unprofessional it is to say “high likelihood of corruption in funding” absence sufficient evidence thereof, fully vetted and corroborated.

So, as the responsible journalist you are, please share such evidence with us.
Dubious? High likelihood?

Well at least you don't have to pretend to be an objective journalist anymore.
1. Perfectly legal.

2. Private funding.
3. It will look great when finished.
1. All opinions 👆🏻
— Michael (@megamagaman2025) October 23, 2025
2. Not one researched fact 👆🏻
3. All from a disgraced/fired “journo” 👆🏻
1 and only 1: It's Donald Trump doing it.

THREE problems with this post:
— Abby Digital (@abby_digital) October 23, 2025
1. Obviously biased.
2. Zero research done prior to posting.
3. Suggests criminal behavior without evidence.
4. None of the above is true.
— Christopher Tremoglie (@chriswtremo) October 23, 2025
It's funny how all of the so-called objective professional journalists drop all pretense of impartiality when they "go independent."
