Nanny Bloomberg on Piers Morgan Tonight ghoulishly guns for gun control

While Piers Morgan has been talking tough on gun control the past few days, his interview with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has him lending his unreserved hashtag endorsement to Bloomberg’s coalition Mayors Against Illegal Guns — founded, apparently, to distinguish its members from those mayors who are for illegal guns.

Bloomberg called out both President Obama and Mitt Romney for staying quiet on the issue of gun control, particularly over the course of the last two days.

Bloomberg expressed his inability to understand why the nation’s police officers don’t go on strike until suitable gun control measures are passed, saying, “We’re not going to protect you unless you, the public, through your legislature, do what’s required to keep us safe.”

Is arguing the number of bullets that can be purchased legally best done with someone who prohibits you from buying a 17 oz. soda and then suggests buying two 16 oz. sodas if you decide you’d like more?

“This is about stopping what happened in that movie theater,” says Morgan, assuring viewers that while he certainly respects the Constitutional rights of American citizens, something has to be done.

While Morgan was sympathetic to the “decent americans” who share his views on gun control, he will have to remain frustrated by the bitter clingers.

Morgan certainly isn’t the only fan won over by Bloomberg’s call for gun control so soon after the Aurora tragedy.
