In advance of the Fauci hearings last night, I was chatting on X with followers and friends about different memories of COVID. At one point I expressed anger because my Dad was told once he took the vaccines and was fully vaccinated, he would no longer die of COVID. In fact, he wouldn't even get really sick. If he did catch it, it would not be serious. It was such a relief to him. He was 71 years old, had survived cancer and he was overweight. That was terrible odds back then. He thought he had his life back.

While I still am admittedly childish in some ways (I had a great father who protected me even when I was 46 and I'm so grateful for it), one thing I am not is a liar.

People were promoting ivermectin early in lockdown based on anecdotal data. Ivermectin IS a top-shelf anti-parasitic, and the thinking is that if one had a parasite, ivermectin could kill it, freeing the immune system to focus on…
It is also a relatively harmless drug so there was no reason to not allow people to try it.

This has nothing to do with saving anyone's legacy to me. I believe Trump should never have honored him and he should have been benched (as Obama did with Fauci), but Trump wasn't a Doctor and did the best he could with the incorrect information Fauci was feeding him. This will always be on Fauci.
