He Preened While Families Buried Their Dead: an Unfiltered Response to the Fauci Diaries

When I saw that the Fauci Diaries had been released, I honestly thought I wouldn’t read them. With this job, I knew I’d encounter plenty of “breaking stories” about them, but I planned to look away as much as I could. Emotionally, I was afraid to go back to those years in my mind—to revisit the frustration, the pain, and the helplessness of watching a loved one be screwed over by the medical system and by Fauci. I didn’t think it would be good for me.

I was right. It hasn’t been good for me, but I haven’t looked away. I’ve read all of the diary entries. I’ve seen Fauci’s preening, his pretentious entries, and all of his complaints about statesmen like Ron DeSantis pushing back against unreasonable mandates. It’s made me angry all over again.

I honestly don’t know what to do with my anger.

I know Fauci will never be held accountable. He should spend every remaining second of his life in jail. He owes families like mine that much. People like him never pay the appropriate consequences, though. Furthermore, I’m a Christian, and I won’t allow my anger at Fauci to keep me from seeing my Dad again and spending eternity with my God, so I have to forgive. It just feels so impossible right now.

Fauci could have allowed doctors to prescribe Ivermectin. What would it have hurt? It’s a harmless drug. He could have allowed pharmacists to fill the prescriptions without threatening their licenses. It’s almost as if he was afraid for the pandemic to end. No one wants to see a nondescript man the size of an elf if the world isn’t on fire.

I’m one of the lucky ones. My Dad didn’t die in the hospital the first time. He didn’t die alone. He died a year later after taking a booster shot I begged him not to take. I told him some doctors I respected feared that people with compromised immune systems who took the booster were experiencing very serious side effects. My Dad took it anyway. He had been traumatized by his first fight with COVID and was terrified of getting it again. He wouldn’t accept that he now had antibodies and would be fine. He took Fauci’s booster and was dead 12 weeks later. He did get to die with people around him, though. Governor DeSantis had demanded that hospitals allow guests by then. We got to have a big funeral for him. Hundreds of people turned out. The funeral home said it was one of the largest funerals they could remember. My Dad was beloved.

Fauci took him from me. He took many dads, moms, aunts, uncles, sisters, and brothers. It doesn’t even faze him.

He may not get his just rewards on this side of eternity, but maybe on the other side.

Also, every leader who advocated for Fauci should be permanently barred from holding public office ever again.
