Nikki Haley’s Son: Naturalized Citizens Have No Business Holding American Office and He's Right

Today Nikki Haley's son went on Tucker Carlson's show and ruffled some feathers. Here is a bit of what he said:

Clearly, this upset folks because there have been very decent politicians who were born in other countries and became freedom loving Americans and great public servants. For example, Ted Cruz was born in Canada and Young Kim was born in South Korea. Unfortunately, they are the exception and so rare that it only makes sense to make it illegal.

The new brand of politicians born overseas are people who hate America, are not assimilating, and generally don't buy in to the American way of life. They are causing major consternation in the American legislative process, and it's become clear it's no longer a tenable situation. Honestly, Jayapal and Omar are reason enough to change the law.

Charlie gave us the blueprint.

I'm a Floridian by birth. You'll never convince me Florida isn't the best place on the planet and superior to all other states. Even if I went to live in another state (I hope never to have to), I would still have a special place in my heart in Florida. It was the place that welcomed me to the planet. I can imagine that's how people feel about their place of birth. Not all, of course, but it's not a chance America should take any longer.

He has a future in politics if he desires it and he doesn't sell out on his beliefs.

This person gets it. It can't be about one individual person who may be fully loyal to the United States. It's about the idea as a whole and what can go wrong.

Zohran Mamdani should be the final evidence America needs to stop the practice of allowing people born in other countries ascend to place of leadership in our government. It's a dangerous practice. It's also a chance Americans should no longer be willing to take.
