Free speech-blaming White House 'questions judgment' of Mohammed cartoon publishers

White House press secretary Jay Carney says a French magazine totally has the right to publish Mohammed cartoons. But — and there’s always a “but” — it shows questionable judgment.

The Washington Examiner reports:

“Obviously, we have questions about the judgment of publishing something like this,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said today during the press briefing while discussing the cartoons published in France. “But we’ve spoken repeatedly about upholding the freedom of expression that is enshrined in our Constitution.”

So, you know, you have the right to promote “reprehensible” art. Just don’t be surprised when it makes terrorists out of otherwise peaceful Muslims. Or something.

If only we bite our tongues and stop insulting the perpetually insulted, Islamist violence will be a thing of the past, right?

Darn art, always inspiring the faithful to murder innocents. Remember all the deadly mob violence over “Piss Christ”? Luckily, after taking cues from the Muslim Brotherhood, the Obama administration has impeccable judgment.
