Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) told CBS’ “Face the Nation” that he believes the idea that President Donald Trump obstructed justice is “absurd,” and he explained why.

Specifically, Graham mentioned the following reasons:

Trump turned over a million documents to the Special Counsel.

Almost every person around Trump testified.

Graham says he can’t think of one way in which he tried to stop Robert Mueller from doing his job.

And that the president never claimed executive privilege.

Now, Sen. Graham says he wants to find out how all of this happened.

He says whether the president told Don McGahn to fire Mueller or not, he never did it, making the discussion irrelevant.

Graham also made clear during the interview that Russia should be facing more consequences for its attempted role in disrupting our election.
