As we told you yesterday, First Lady Jill Biden is under fire after she compared diversity in the Latino community to “breakfast tacos’ in San Antonio.
In case you missed it, here is EXACTLY what she said:
“As distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio.”

Now, before the media gets all “conservatives pounce” on this story, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists also called her out.
“We are not tacos” and “our heritage as Latinos is shaped by various diasporas, cultures & food traditions,” they tweeted in a statement:
NAHJ encourages @FLOTUS & her communications team to take time to better understand the complexities of our people & communities.
We are not tacos.
Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by various diasporas, cultures & food traditions.

But this brings us to Sen. Marco Rubio and his response to Jill’s offensive comments. . .

We’ll even call this the official response from his office:
Who had the best response to @FLOTUS’ god awful speech from Monday? I think that would indeed be @marcorubio! https://t.co/geBbw9LRgA

But, we assume, the fact-checkers will get involved eventually, right?
Fact-checkers: Marco Rubio, who is Cuban, tweeted out what appears to be an Old El Paso taco of Mexican origin. And it's not a breakfast taco. We give him 78 Pinocchios. https://t.co/ERlxbfqqfQ
