Goalposts moved?
NBC’s Hoda Kotb appeared to totally give up on getting kids back in school right now and instead asked Education Secretary Miguel Cardona if kids will be back 100% in-person in the fall.
To his credit, Cardona did say they’re still attempting to salvage the school year

But this still isn’t good enough. Just look at Florida and other states where all the schools are already safely open:

He also doesn’t think the Biden administration needs to make vaccines for teachers “mandatory”:
