That old saying “a fool and his money are soon parted” fits perfectly if you’re dumb enough to buy this $100 bed for your smartphone from Arianna Huffington’s Thrive Global company:

According to the description, Huffington wants families to literally tuck their phones in at night in as part of some weird new — and expensive — bedtime ritual:
The phone bed makes putting our smartphones to bed a regular part of our nightly ritual. First we tuck our phones in, and then ourself. By giving our phones their own bed, we can say goodnight to our day and get the sleep we need to wake up fully recharged. And to show children how to have a healthy relationship with technology, there’s room in the bed for the whole family’s devices.
This completely ridiculous product “constructed of solid wood with velvet-lined compartments and satin linens” is available for purchase online or at this stupid store opening in NYC on December 1:

“This is going to be my Christmas present for everyone,” Huffington said. Pfft. We’d rather have coal in our stocking because that at least has some use.
