Rep. Adam Schiff’s statements so far at the House Intelligence Committee’s first open impeachment inquiry hearing have predictably reeked of BS. After Schiff’s opening statement, ranking Republican Rep. Devin Nunes took apart the entire Democrat impeachment circus:

Nunes must have hit the mark a little too close, because CNN’s media correspondent Brian Stelter immediately ran interference for Schiff (and of course couldn’t help mentioning Fox News in the process):
Difference between Schiff and Nunes opening statements:
Schiff is trying to speak to the entire country. Nunes is only speaking to the Trump base and the Fox audience.

Who wants to tell him?
Setting aside the ridiculous spin here, tell me: who was Chairman Schiff speaking to when he spread Russian collusion conspiracy theories for 2 years? https://t.co/ARDeiUuTo0

Who was Schiff speaking to all those times he appeared on CNN to spread fake conspiracy theories over the past couple years? https://t.co/rNhRLRAh8x

Self-awareness is hard for “correspondents” with DNCNN.
The Trump base IS the entire country
Thinking it wasn't is why Journos and coastal elites were so shocked he won https://t.co/qjcDOtj8x0
