This morning President Obama nominated Merrick Garland to fill the Supreme Court vacancy. While Shaun King isn’t thrilled with Obama’s pick, Senate Republicans have said they will not bring Obama’s nomination to a vote, saying that the SCOTUS opening should be filled by the next president.
Senator Harry Reid seems to believe the GOP will give in:
Republicans are backing down so quickly that they’re already bargaining about what month they will fully cave and confirm Obama’s nominee.

No question in my mind that Sen. McConnell will cave, and President Obama will fill this vacancy this year. pic.twitter.com/p2KBysDJTj

Is he wrong? Time will tell.
Everything Harry Reid says sounds like a threat. https://t.co/r4NWNKmJfw
