This spring, the Obama administration unilaterally released five Taliban leaders from Guantanamo Bay to secure the return of Bowe Bergdahl.
In a new report, the Government Accountability Office found that the Obama administration’s failure to notify Congress of the release as well as nearly a million dollars in related expenditures violated the law:
