Royals lose best pitcher to Tommy John surgery

Sorry Kansas City, but we have some bad news to report. Your best young pitcher, Danny Duffy, has been diagnosed with a torn left ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow. That means he’ll miss all of the 2012 season and likely part of the 2013 season as well due to needing the dreaded Tommy John surgery.
