Blame the cooks: First NFL player ever fined for a tweet deletes Twitter account

We have some sad news to report on this beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Apparently NFL cornerback Antonio Cromartie has deleted his Twitter account.

Cromartie is sort of a Twitter pioneer when it comes to the NFL. To the best of our knowledge he was the first player to ever be fined for a tweet when he criticized the quality of food at training camp as a member of the San Diego Chargers way back in 2009.

Since then Cromartie has had a number of controversial tweets and he always had a knack of putting his foot in his mouth. He will be dearly missed by all of his followers.

Hopefully he decides to make a return before too long.
