After video of the killing of George Floyd vent viral online, this editor believes the first post we did about the reaction was this one about citizens of Minneapolis honoring Floyd’s memory by smashing the windows of the 3rd Precinct and looting a Target store:

Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler did his usual balancing act, noting that Kamala Harris had tweeted support for the Minnesota Freedom Fund to bail out those arrested during the rioting and looting, but “the money didn’t just assist protesters,” so claims that it did we left “unrated.” Harris’ tweet is still up:
If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota. https://t.co/t8LXowKIbw

It’s true that the Minnesota Freedom Fund didn’t just bail out protesters; it also bailed out a man who then sexually assaulted an 8-year-old and a domestic abuser who went on to commit murder.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz sent a letter to President Trump requesting a federal disaster declaration to clean up the mess — more than 1,500 businesses were damaged by vandalism, looting, or fires, causing at least $500 million in damage — but President Trump said no.
Here’s a TikTok video that we believe uses images from Google Maps to give a before and after tour of the city.

Does social justice include looking like a 3rd world country? If so, it sounds like a bad deal.

I was told by all my left wing friends that insurance would cover the damages, and that it was only gonna be a minor inconvenience for businesses… huh. Interesting.

Whole Foods lasted a whole year in downtown San Francisco.
It will never be back.

We were assured by the media that riots are the language of the unheard and these were just buildings that were insured and could be replaced.
